O evento mais aguardado do mundo dos games finalmente revelou grandes vencedores do ano. A The Game Awards 2021 anunciou a lista completa dos melhores jogos do ano. Na principal categoria, a de Jogo do Ano, não teve pra ninguém… It Takes Two levou o GOTY mesmo com concorrentes de peso como Deathloop, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart e Resident Evil Village. Além disso o jogo desenvolvido pela Hazelight Studios e publicado pela Electronic Arts levou mais dois prêmios para casa: Melhor Jogo para Família e Melhor Multiplayer.
